Yuma Old Threshers Show, Yuma Colorado
| The Yuma old
threshers show is a annual event with fun and
entertainment for everyone. The main purpose of the event
is to show how farmers did it in the 'old' days and the
tools and equipment they used. The show has two sets or
'streets' of buildings, each building was moved in,
refurbished, destined to reenact it's previous role as a
business or instutution from early western america. It's a great show! |

This is the 'east-west' street, complete with a wooden sidewalk.
The 'barn yard special' is a homemade barrel train for the kids
to ride.

The Conoco Station sits at the north end of the 'north-south'
street. This station
come complete with two kinds of early american gas pumps. The one
on the
right was manufactured in the very late 1800's. The one on the
left could still be
seen as late as the 1950's.

This is near the start of the 'north-south' street. The Conoco
station is
visible at the end. It's interesting to note how much detail went
into
refurbishing these historical buildings. This show is a 'must
see'!

These buildings sit at the south end of the street. The VFW
proudly displays this
WWII Howitzer manufactured in 1942. I believe I should mention
that in WWI,
our big guns 'canons' were still being pulled and positioned by
horses!

This is the old threshers 1932 Model T Ford Truck, sponsored by
the First National Bank of Yuma.
Notice the wood spoke wheels.
